This is war.

It would seem that once a person leaves an area they become a figment of the locals' imagination. No matter how many bus trips or milkshakes, the memory of you will not last. And so it has come to this. Nathan (who still being underage cannot really be named in this blog) has decided to declare a war of the blogs. Daily updates are our strategy and our witty word choices and story inclusions have become our weapons of choice. Who will win? I think that is obvious. However, we will allow Nathan his false hope...his defeat is more entertaining that way.

I was reading a blog the other day/a few hours ago, that spent a fair/miniscule amount of time discussing the perils of blogging...three of them or almost three. I have a response to that:

Three Not-Perils of Blogging:

1. Aerobic exercise for your fingers: no one wants unsightly chubby fingers and what better way to battle the bulge than to spend a little time typing on your keyboard and limbering up your joints? Thats right, move those fingers to a more sculpted look today.

2. People need updates: Sometimes when people leave an area, especially one where the people are notorious for not keeping up with anyone, a blog comes in handy. It solidifies friendship. It allows for camaraderie and inside jokes. It is practically the salvation of long distance friendships.

3. It doesn't have teeth: we have all had frightening experiences with things/people/animals that have sharp teeth with which to attack us. Blogs have no physical teeth, they rely on the bite of their wit to inflect damage and if you read a certain welsh blog you can rest assured that you will be intellectually gummed to death...no bite marks at all.

In order to keep the morale high I have found a picture from the not so distant past that shows exactly how important the written word can be to the war effort.

Evolve that fifty years or so and you have a blog that could change the course of history. This is not that blog. This is, however, the blog that will crush the sad little Welsh blog that is http://malcouth.blogspot.com/
